Dipraseodymium pentabromide, Pr2Br5, is a lower bromide of praseodymium. It is prepared by the controlled reduction of praseodymium(III) bromide with lithium vapour at 850 °C.[1] As with many of the lower lanthanoid halides, Pr2Br5 does not contain praseodymium(II) centres: instead, the extra electron required for electroneutrality with Pr3+ is delocalized in a metallic-type conduction band.[1][2]
